Dolcetto d'Alba is one of seven Dolcetto-focused DOC wines produced in Italy's north-western Piedmont region. It is considered the most notable of the Dolcetto classified reds. There, vines are planted on slopes with sandy, calcareous soils.
On estate-grown vineyards, hand selected grape bunches undergo a soft crushing prior to fermentation, using selective yeasts, which accentuate the wine’s clean and fragrant red and dark berry fruit aromas. Post fermentation, the wine is held in tank where it matures for several months prior to bottling.
