Pauillac, on Bordeaux's Médoc peninsula, is home to some of the world's most famous and expensive red wines, made predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon. Three of the top five Châteaux are located here: Mouton Rothschild, Lafite Rothschild and Château Latour.
This wine is made from a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, grown on 30-year-old vines deeply rooted along the hillsides of the Garonne River. The grapes are hand harvested, macerated in stainless steel vats, fermented in separate batches, and blended and aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
